Research Scientist, SLAM
Advance our large-scale SLAM stack to map and re-localise across sprawling, evolving mining and construction sites.
What you'll do
- Extend multi-session SLAM to handle map updates over weeks and months
- Develop loop-closure and place-recognition methods for feature-poor environments
- Integrate semantic information to improve mapping robustness
- Work closely with field teams to iterate on real-world performance
What we look for
- PhD focused on visual or LiDAR SLAM
- Proven track record with large-scale mapping systems
- Strong C++ and systems-level programming skills
- Experience with ROS or similar robotics middleware is a plus
